I walked past this little cutie a few times before I finally picked it up. It took me a minute to figure out that the flowers were actually forming the face and body of the baby chicken. So cute!
The side profile shows the outline of the body.

Yellow daisies with a brown center make the eyes.

Of course, the egg is cracked and sitting on a bed or bright green grass.

Surrounded by pretty pink spring flowers and Easter Eggs.

Now who could resist this? So kitschy, yet so charming and perfect for a vintage Easter decoration!

This is so cute! Definitely a keeper. Hope you enjoy a happy and blessed day.

I LOVE it!!
ReplyDeleteI had one of those (my mother bought it for a penny at the grocery store back in 1966 or 1967, it was a "deal" offered for spending x-amount on groceries). I kept all our Easter decorations in a black garbage bag and, unfortunately, when we had our basement remodeled a couple of years ago, the workmen mistook it for a bag of garbage and threw all my Easter things away. If you ever decide you want to sell that, please let me know (can contact Mia via www.stark-titans.org--there is a contact form on the homepage). :)
