LOOKING FORWARD TO VALENTINES DAY!

For a few weeks after Christmas, I usually just chill out a little, resting up from the holiday rush and enjoying the time just contemplating the year past and my goals for the New Year.

Today, my thoughts have turned to Valentines Day. Traditionally, we associate red and pink colors along with hearts to show our love.


While yellow is not the color associated with Valentines Day, it is my favorite color!! When I found this satin covered yellow candy box high on a shelf in a basement at a recent estate sale, I couldn't pass it up.

Decorated with the plastic flowers so popular in the 1960's and 1970's. Not even resembling the real color of the flowers, but just as charming none the less.

It came complete with the inside tray all the candies sat in.

I found this on the same high shelf, just waiting to be reused!
